Laura has had a lifelong love of animals and a passion for the wilderness.
She grew up on a happy homestead with a multitude of animals and many beloved dogs and understood that it was the relationship and respect for each and every one of them that created lasting bonds.
After moving across the country, taking time to travel and heading back to school, she settled down in North Vancouver where she was able to work for a busy holistic veterinary clinic, volunteer and foster for the local SPCA as well as volunteer with her puppy, assisting disabled hikers get out on the trails with the British Columbia Mobility Opportunities Society (BCMOS) on the North Shore.
Although she loved the city life, she decided to get back to her roots in the country with her man and their amazing dogs.
She relocated to Salmo in 2009 and after searching for suitable care for her own spoiled dogs realized that personalized care was needed for many furry family members in the West Kootenays.
Unleashed is located on a beautiful 6 acre piece of property, with a large fenced in area and the river a short stroll away.
